It Started With One Question...
Why was finding a comfortable AFO sock so difficult?
After major ankle reconstruction surgery, I was fitted with an ankle-foot orthosis (AFO) to help me regain mobility.
The brace worked exactly as it was supposed to.
Finding a sock that worked with it didn't.
The Search
Weeks before my surgery, I ordered specialty AFO socks from one of the only companies I could find.
They didn't arrive until weeks after I needed them.
While attending physical therapy in Florida, I searched store after store looking for something that would work.
Everything I found was either too short, too thin, or simply wasn't designed for life with an AFO.
That experience made me realize something.
People who rely on AFOs deserve better.
Building Something Better
Instead of accepting what already existed, I decided to create the sock I wished I'd had from day one.
Over the next several months, I researched fabrics, worked with manufacturers, tested countless samples, and refined every detail.
The goal wasn't to make another long sock.
The goal was to create a sock specifically designed around how people actually wear an AFO.

After testing multiple materials, I chose a premium bamboo blend because it offered the combination of softness, stretch, breathability, and durability I was looking for.
